Delete your GigMap account
App: GigMap: Paid Tasks Near You · Developer: IGEEQ LLC ·
Last updated: 19 October 2026
You can delete your account and personal data at any time. Deletion
is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1 — Delete it in the app (instant)
- Open GigMap and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is erased immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can no longer open the app (lost phone, app uninstalled), email
[email protected]
with the subject Delete my GigMap account.
- Write from the email address linked to your Google or Apple sign-in. If you
used Apple's "Hide My Email", tell us your name as shown in GigMap and roughly
when you joined, so we can find the account.
- We may reply to confirm it is really you before deleting anything.
- We complete verified requests within 30 days, usually much sooner, and
confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in and the email address linked to it.
- Your display name and profile photo. Your profile is replaced by an
anonymous "Deleted user" placeholder.
- Every photo you uploaded: your profile photo and your gig photos.
- Your push-notification tokens, so nothing is sent to your devices.
- Messages you sent through the in-app support form.
- Your block list, in both directions.
- Your open activity is closed: gigs you posted that are still live are
cancelled, your pending offers are declined, and any active match is
cancelled. If you were the helper on someone's gig, that gig goes back on the
board so they can find someone else.
- If you signed in with Apple, we revoke GigMap's Sign in with Apple access.
What is kept, and for how long
- Gig, offer, chat and rating records. GigMap is a
marketplace, so the people you worked with keep their history. The text of
gigs, offers, chat messages and ratings you wrote stays, but it is no longer
linked to your name, photo or email and appears as "Deleted user". We keep it
for as long as the other person's account exists, because it is part of
their record and their reliability score.
- Records we must keep by law, for example reports about
fraud or abuse, only for as long as the law requires.
- Crash reports are held by Google Firebase for a limited
period and are not linked to your account.
